We work with you to research and develop your ideas to create a plan to make them physical reality. This might be a one off piece of furniture or a production run of 100 000 units.

We are Bruce and Kimlyn. We are industrial designers and husband and wife. Although we are married we don’t do everything together. Kimlyn and her team specialises in furniture and interior design. While Bruce and his team focuses on product development and brand strategy and design.

The benefit of being Man+Wife is we share ideas, help with honest feedback and build on each others strengths. So the designs that are developed are more complete and considered.

How does it work?

Inputs

We always start with listening, learning, reading and researching. Through a combination of interviews and reviews we gain an understanding of exactly what you require.

Synthesize

Then we sift, sort and combine what we’ve learnt and develop broad directions and concepts that we can share with you to check we’re on the right track and to make sure that our thinking is aligned with yours

Develop

Once we have all decided on a direction, we begin developing your product making sure we execute the project beautifully.

Delivery

We deliver beautiful, smart, inspired work that is focused on your goals and dreams.

About Man+Wife

We met at university while studying industrial design together. We used to share lifts and get into massive arguments. A few years after finishing our studies we decided that we wanted to share a bit more than just lifts and we got married.

In 2014 we gave birth to Noah, our first child. He was born with down syndrome. We wanted to start a business that would enable him to have meaningful employment one day when he grows up.

In 2017, we started Man+Wife design studio, using our combined 26 years of experience to help clients design their dream home, branding and products.

Noah motivates us to work hard and focus on helping our clients to reach the long-term goals for our business.
